Introduction

This remote work policy outlines our guidelines for employees who work from a location other than our physical office. We want to ensure that both our team members and the company benefit from these arrangements.

Purpose

This policy aims to:

  • Ensure all team members have a clear understanding of their responsibilities when working remotely.Ensure a consistent and fair approach to remote working across the company.Maintain high levels of productivity and communication regardless of physical location.

Scope

This policy applies to employees whose primary work location is not at our company’s physical address. Those who occasionally work from home due to extenuating circumstances may also use this as a reference.

Eligibility

Not all positions are eligible for remote work. Eligibility is based on both the nature of the job and the employee’s performance. The management team will review eligibility on a case-by-case basis.

Guidelines

5.1 Workspace: Employees should establish a dedicated, quiet workspace free from distractions.

5.2 Equipment: The company will provide necessary equipment to execute job responsibilities. It’s the employee’s responsibility to maintain and protect these assets from damage or theft.

5.3 Data Security: All company data, including sensitive and confidential information, must be protected and only accessed through secure, company-approved systems and software.

5.4 Communication: Employees must remain reachable during work hours via phone, email, or company chat. Regular check-ins, either daily or weekly, with team leaders or managers are mandatory.

5.5 Productivity: Employees are expected to maintain their regular levels of productivity and complete tasks in a timely manner.

5.6 Working Hours: Unless flexible hours are agreed upon, employees are expected to follow their regular work schedule.

Health and Safety

Employees are responsible for the health and safety of their work environment. The company can provide guidance, but the setup and maintenance of a safe workspace are the employee’s responsibility.

Expenses

Any work-related expenses must be approved by the management team in advance. Employees can then report these expenses in the same manner as in-office expenses.

Review and Modification of Policy

This policy will be reviewed annually and can be modified as the needs of the company and its employees evolve.

Breach of Policy

Employees who breach this policy may be subject to disciplinary actions. Serious violations may lead to termination.

Agreement

All employees who work remotely must sign an agreement indicating that they understand and will comply with this remote work policy
